Corgrimm Tech operates the Homeschool Ledger mobile application. This policy explains information collection, use, disclosure, and safeguarding practices.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information

Account Information: Email address, encrypted password
Student Information: Student names, dates of birth, grade levels
Educational Records: Attendance, lesson plans, grades, assignments, curriculum data, notes
Payment Information: Processed through RevenueCat; credit card data not stored directly

Automatically Collected Information

Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique identifiers
Usage Data: Features used, frequency, crash reports, performance data
Analytics Data: Collected via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics

2. How We Use Your Information

The company uses collected information to:

Provide and maintain App functionality
Enable cloud backup and synchronization
Generate reports, transcripts, compliance documentation
Process subscription payments
Analyze usage to improve features
Detect and address technical issues
Communicate about accounts and support

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Homeschool Ledger is designed for adults 18+. The app stores student information but accounts are created exclusively by adults. The company does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, does not allow child account creation, does not market to children, and does not sell educational data.

4. Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google LLC) — Used for authentication, Cloud Firestore storage, analytics, and crashlytics. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat — Manages in-app purchases and subscriptions through Apple and Google platforms.

5. Data Security

Security measures include:

SSL/TLS encryption in transit
Encryption at rest in Cloud Firestore
Securely hashed passwords
Restricted data access with authentication
Regular security updates

No method guarantees absolute security.

6. Data Retention

Information is retained while accounts are active. Upon deletion, personal and educational records are removed within 30 days except as legally required. Backups may persist 90 days but remain inaccessible.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Portability — Access all data within the App; export records in PDF or other formats.

Correction — Update information directly within the App.

Deletion — Delete individual records, student profiles, or entire accounts through settings or by contacting support.

Subscription Management — Manage subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

8. Data Sharing and Disclosure

The company does not sell, rent, or share information for marketing. Disclosure occurs only:

With explicit consent
With service providers under confidentiality agreements
When legally required
To protect rights, property, or safety

9. California Privacy Rights

California residents have CCPA rights including knowing what personal information is collected, requesting deletion, and opting out of sales (which the company does not conduct). Contact joe@corgrimm.com to exercise rights.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Updates may occur. Notification happens through app posting, date updates, and email for material changes. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
